The next Hyndland Residents’ Association AGM. will take place on Tuesday, 19th May 2009, at 7.30pm at Hyndland Bowling Club. Queensborough Gardens. As well as conducting the usual AGM business, there will be a chance to meet up with friends and neighbours and the bowling club's pay bar will be open. This AGM's guest speaker will be Nanzie McLeod, whose new book, Hyndland Portrait, has just been launched. This book is a sequel to Pittenweem Sojourn and continues the story of Annie Corning and her daughter Helen. Also portrayed are recognisable corners of Glasgow with particular emphasis on Hyndland. Nanzie promises to be an engaging speaker for Hyndland folk.
