Hyndland Bowling Club was very proud to hear that one of its members had been selected to attend the 2008 IrnBruSchool of Excellence, for youngsters aged 16 to 19. The Club is now delighted to relate that the member and regular player has emerged as the runaway winner this year!
Schools in Scotland run several qualifying competitions, each year selecting youngsters who show potential and ability to play at a high level. This year eight boys and girls were selected for coaching at a school in Dundee to improve their individual performance. Colin Taggart, aged 17 who attends Clydebank High School, became the 2008 Champion, with some fantastic displays of talent, determination and character.
HRA congratulates Callum on this significant achievement, and wishes him continued success for his future bowling career: thanks, Colin, for carrying the flag of Hyndland in Scotland and Internationally.
